Doctor Who was offered to Canada in early 1965, but the series was dropped after only 26 episodes. It wasn't until 1976 that Canada picked up the series again.
In 1972, the United States was sold a 72-episode package of stories, which didn't really set the world on fire. But six years later in 1978, episodes starring an actor by the name of Tom Baker appeared on US televisions...
