This page will list UPDATES and NEW pages added.

We would very much like BroaDWcast to also function as an index to Doctor Who clips on YouTube, especially USA pledge-breaks, convention footage and any foreign language clips. If you already know of or stumble across any, please send us the link.

  • And don't forget, clicking on the AIRDATES Airdates icon icon on the country profile pages will take you to the airdates summary for that country (N/S = Not Stated)
  • We're on TWITTER. To "Follow" us, please 'click' here or via the link found in the "external sites" section of the left sidebar.
  • We also have a dedicated forum and email address - see sidebar to the left

November 2015

  • 23 November: Happy 52nd Anniversary!
  • 16 November: We've given the Nigeria page an overhaul: we have added some maps, expanded the NTA/NTV coverage of Tom Baker screenings in the 1980s, ask did Troughton episodes ever screen there in the 1980s?, and reveal who "The Son of Dr Who" really was...
  • 3 November: Major update to Philippines: we have found the airdates for the GMA Channel 7 screenings in 1989, plus revised the layout and given the page a general tidy up.
  • Small update to the Mormon Mystery: "The World About Us" did air in New Zealand after all.

July 2015

  • 50 years ago today, on 7 July 1965, an internal memo was issued by the BBC which identified that something called "T.I.E." had purchased 26 episodes of Doctor Who. To celebrate that milestone we've given our TIE Ltd page a complete overhaul. (Our grateful thanks go to Steve Traves for his stirling (!) work tracking down the documentation referred to in the update)
    • We've also revised the Bicycling Chains page (again, sorry) to reflect the new information.

May 2015

April 2015

  • 30 April: The profiles for Italy and Monaco have been updated to feature some new newspaper clippings, articles and some ratings statistics, and to fix a few layout errors.
  • 29 April: Updates have been made to:
    • Rhodesia (clarification regarding sanctions on TV films);
    • Iran (looks like they may have got Arabic prints after all, and screened only the first episode of An Unearthly Child rather than all 4 episodes);
    • Armed Forces Network (we've added the US Panama stations to the profile).
  • 4 April: We've made some updates to Brazil: still no sign of the regular series, but we now have dates for the first Peter Cushing movie and the Paul McGann movie. (UPDATE: Layout of this revision has since been revised.)
  • 3 April: We've updated the Bermuda page to add some new newspaper clippings, and to update the TV station profile, noting the reason why they dropped Doctor Who after only 26 episodes.

January 2015

  • 23 January: 50 years ago today, on 23 January 1965, Doctor Who aired in Canada for the very first time. The CBC was the third station outside the UK to screen the new series.
  • 23 January: D'oh! We updated the Australia TX 1965-1967 page last week, but did so using the wrong template. The proper update has now been uploaded.
  • 12 January: 50 years ago today, on 12 January 1965, Doctor Who aired in Australia for the very first time. To celebrate, we've given the Australia pages (all 17 of them!) a bit of a tidy up.
