TV was introduced to PANAMA in 1956. Although the series was not shown on any local terrestrial TV channels, a run of Tom Baker stories was shown on the US Armed Forces Network (AFRTS) channel in the Panama Canal Zone in 1986, and Spanish viewers could see a sub-titled edition of the 1996 TV Movie via the HBO OLE cable station in 1999.
