TV was introduced to PANAMA in 1956. Although the series was not shown on any local terrestrial TV channels, a run of Tom Baker stories was shown on the US Armed Forces Network (AFRTS) channel in the Panama Canal Zone in 1986, and viewers could see the 1996 TV Movie via the HBO OLE cable station in 1999.
