- The story was dubbed into Arabic.
- It was not sold anywhere in its original PAL format. The tapes had been wiped by 1973.
- For Whose Doctor Who (broadcast on 3 April 1977) a black and white clip was used from Terror of the Autons as that format was the best copy available at the time.
- It was by using an off-air recording taken off a March 1977 broadcast in Chicago, Illinois, that enabled the BBC to restore the serial to full colour.
Reissue
- It was released again in early 1985, as part of a package of all 24 Jon Pertwee stories, and sold to the United States, but in black and white only.
