MOZAMBIQUE is a former-Portuguese colony in southern Africa.
Doctor Who was not available on any local stations, but the Paul McGann TV Movie was shown on the South African-based satellite station Sci-Fi Channel Southern Africa, which was available in the capital city Maputo on Canal 21.
Although Portuguese is the principal language of Mozambique, programmes were not subtitled or dubbed.
