Doctor Who aired on the Galaxy channel of BSB, 1 April-1 December, 1990.
A special Doctor Who weekend aired 22-23 Septebmer, 1990, presented in part by John Nathan-Turner, and featuring in-studio interviews with Sylvester McCoy, Carole Ann Ford, Elisabeth Sladen, Peter Purves, Wendy Padbury, Terrance Dicks, Mervyn Haisman, Nicholas Courtney, William Russell, John Freeman (of DWM), and Waris Hussein.
In December 1990, BSB was bought out by SKY, and rebranded as BSkyB. As a result, the 1990 schedule of Doctor Who episodes was brought to a sudden end, midway through The Daleks .
