  • 16 October 1986: Doctor Who premieres with The Five Doctors. It is WQEX's first day of broadcasting in color.
  • 17 October 1986: The Tom Baker stories begin, weeknights at 7:30 and compilations Sunday nights at 5:30.
  • 1987: Screened the 17 repackaged William Hartnell stories.
  • 1987: Screened the 24 repackaged Jon Pertwee stories.
  • 1988: Tom Baker stories repeated again. Around that time, Baker was interviewed for a pledge drive.
  • 17 May 1988: Sylvester McCoy stories debuts.
  • 18 July 1998: WQED begins simulcasting WQEX's broadcasts.
