Doctor Who aired in these cities, on these channels:
Contents |
Lexington
WTVQ
Channel 62 (ABC) (Channel number changed to 36 in 1980)
- 1978?: According to an early edit of Wikipedia, WTVQ was one of the first stations to broadcast the Tom Baker stories. But the state is not listed in the August 1978 issue of Variety (See United States--1978), and we have not found any airdates in late 1978 / early 1979. Tellingly, the reference to WTVQ has since been removed from the wikipedia section.
- 1980: It is reported in Starlog issue # 39 (cover date October 1980) that the series had been sold to "WTVQ, Lexington, Indiana" (although WTVQ is actually a Kentucky station), however we have not been able to find any listings for that year either!
