- Late 1978: The series first aired in an afternoon timeslot, then shifted to 1.30am after poor ratings.
- 1979-1981: Channel 5 screened Tom Baker stories on weekday afternoons until at least late 1981, presumably stopping by the time KTCA, channel 2 (below), picked up the series...

- 28 December 1981: Channel 2 screened Tom Baker stories Monday to Friday at 5:00pm; the timeslot later changed to 5.30pm. They were cycled through at least twice.
- May 1983: The Peter Davison stories begin, all as omnibus editions, screening at 10:30pm. This was followed by further Tom Baker reruns.
- 23 November 1983: The Five Doctors airs.
- 1984-85: The remainder of the Peter Davison era airs.
- 1985: The Jon Pertwee stories air, all as omnibus editions.
