Doctor Misterio logo

El Dr Misterio – as Doctor Who was known in Latin America – was sold to only one Central American country during the 1960s: Mexico; the episodes were repeated on a regional basis during the early 1970s.

Costa Rica also played the Hartnell episodes from 1971 to 1972.

All the other Central American countries screened a package of 23 Tom Baker stories from 1979 onwards - BUT:
