- January 1983: Airing weeknigts at 6pm.
- 23 November 1983: The Five Doctors airs.
- 1983: The Peter Davison stories commence.
- 1987: December - Jon Pertwee visited Baton Rouge in December 1987 with the Doctor Who Bus promotional tour; WLPB used his visit to promote its annual fall membership winterfest.
