Dr Who and the Daleks (1965)
Daleks - Invasion Earth 2150 AD (1966)
- UK Release Dates
- 23 August 1965
- 5 August 1966
The two Peter Cushing Dalek movies screened in cinemas around the world in the 1960s - either dubbed or subtitled - although the second film had a much wider global distribution than the first.
Only the first film received a cinematic release in the United States and Canada. The second was never distributed as a theatrical presentation in North America, but eventually ended up on TV from July 1969, under the shortened title "Invasion Earth 2150 AD".
Both films were broadcast on television in many countries, as well as being released on dubbed or subtitled home video and DVD:
- Television airdates for Australia
- List of VHS / DVD releases (1)
- List of VHS / DVD releases (2)
- List of Dalek Movie Box sets
It would be impossible to research and catalogue all the countries where each film was shown, but in all likelihood the majority of those nations covered by BroaDWcast saw one or both films at some time or another, at the cinema and/or on TV. And certainly the films would have been seen in some of the countries not covered by this website.
CINEMAS / TV / VIDEO and DVD
The following countries are those whose profiles contain specific reference to the movies being shown in theatres and/or on TV and/or released on Video/DVD (with the foreign or alternative titles given where known).
KEY: It is a given that the named film was seen in cinemas - unless indicated otherwise: Y [film played in cinemas under original title]; X [didn't play in cinemas]; blank [not known if seen in cinemas]; TV / Video / DVD also noted

- The IMDB provides a number of overseas release dates and alternative foreign titles, but many of these appear to be 'Google translations' of what the names would be in foreign languages rather than official ones used on actual cinema screenings or home media releases; our list above therefore includes only those titles that can be backed-up by visual evidence such as newspaper clippings or VHS/DVD covers
