BBC America was launched in 1998. It can also be seen in Bermuda, Barbados, the Cayman Islands, Guam, and Sint Maarten.
- By October 1998 BBC America had been showing Doctor Who, but only Robot and The Ark in Space. They eventually aired stories through at least The Robots of Death. The stories were broadcast in an hour time slot as a compilation of two episodes with new composite credits.
- On 21 January 2013 it was announced that BBC America would show one story from each Doctor throughout 2013.
